Aletia Meyer is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa, since 2012, and holds a master’s degree obtained in 2017. She joined Andrew Venter Inc. as an Associate Attorney in June 2026 bringing with her over a decade of experience in financial services law, regulatory compliance and commercial law. Her practice focuses on providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to businesses operating within highly regulated and technology-driven environments. Aletia has extensive experience advising financial services and fintech businesses on regulatory frameworks, governance, risk management and compliance, as well as the structuring, drafting and negotiation of commercial, operational, partnership, service and outsourcing agreements. Prior to joining Andrew Venter Inc., Aletia served as Head of Legal and Regulatory Compliance for a registered Payments Provider and Fintech, where she gained substantial industry experience across South Africa and the SADC region. Her experience includes, licensing requirements, the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FIC Act), anti-money laundering obligations, POPIA, FSCA requirements, regulatory gap assessments and the development of governance and compliance frameworks. Aletia combines legal expertise, postgraduate academic training and extensive practical industry experience, enabling her to translate complex regulatory and commercial requirements into clear, commercially workable legal solutions. Outside of her legal practice, Aletia is a mother of two and values family, balance and an active lifestyle. She enjoys running and fitness and considers maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle an important part of her personal wellbeing.
